Human thought and behavior is too complex for any one method to capture. Thus, SAI employs multiple research methodologies Our senior team of cultural Anthropologists and Psychologists are trained to identify the emotional response to your brand, and hone your brand narrative.



FOCUS GROUP TESTING



We conduct both in-person and online focus groups, dyads and triads. Our focus groups testing involves deep psychological probes and projective techniques, such as story telling, metaphor elicitation, picture sorting, and more. Our multilingual moderators deliver in-language discussion in several languages, such as Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese. Tagalog, Japanese, Persian, Burmese, Sinhalese, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and several other Asian dialects.



IN-DEPTH INTERVIEWS



In-depth interviewing is a time intensive evaluation research technique that involves conducting individual interviews with a small number of respondents. These could use employed to explore perspectives, contexts, usage, or brand perceptions. Primary advantage of in-depth interviews is much more detailed information than available through other data collection methods, such as surveys. They also may provide a more relaxed atmosphere in which to collect information.



ETHNOGRAPHIC FILM



We conduct in-home ethnographies, "day in the life" studies as well immersive interviews at work place, and ethnic enclaves.Actions speak louder than words, and seeing is believing. Thus, we capture all ethnographic interviews on camera, and our ethnographic films capture consumer behaviorism in life size images--replete with cultural interpretations. Our immersive methods help bypass the rational mind, and access emotional terrain.



STREET INTERCEPTS



We listen at a deeper level, and don’t let anything slip under the radar. Our street intercepts and impromptu “deep dives” at locations with great Asian density deliver spontaneous first-hand random qualitative data. Conducted both in-language and in English, these interviews are also captured on video; and streamed right to your conference rooms.



LONGITUDINAL PANELS



SAI crafts an exclusive panel of respondents for your study; to conduct longitudinal panel studies that involve repeated observations and discussions with your panel respondents over short or long periods of time. Week long online journal studies, and pre and post launch testing of messaging ideas /design/packaging can be managed using this panel.



ONLINE SURVEYS/CLT



We also undertake quantitive surveys, both online as well as conducted in person with consumers at a pre-arranged central location, such as the mall, hotel, car clinics or stores. Our interviewers are trained professionals, who record both verbal responses and non-verbal cues, test products, marketing materials, design, and messaging.
